Think-Nth teaches students in 30+ countries, many of them under 18. Our safeguarding policy sets out the checks, controls, and reporting routes that keep every session safe. This page is a plain-English summary of our full internal policy, available on request.
UK-based tutors hold an Enhanced DBS certificate on file, refreshed every 3 years. Tutors elsewhere provide a police / criminal-record check equivalent to their jurisdiction (ACRO, FBI Identity History Summary, MOI Good Conduct, etc.), plus government ID, degree verification, and two professional references before their first session.
All 1:1 sessions with students under 18 are recorded on Zoom Cloud and retained for 30 days for safeguarding review, then automatically deleted. Recordings are accessible only to the designated safeguarding lead and the student's parent/guardian on request.
Every tutor signs our code of conduct: cameras on for the full session, no private off-platform contact with under-18 students, no personal social-media friend requests, and strictly professional boundaries. Breaches result in immediate removal and, where appropriate, reporting to the relevant authority.
A named Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) reviews every reported concern within 24 hours. The DSL is trained to UK KCSIE level 2 standard and coordinates with local authorities where a referral is required.
If you are a student, parent, teacher, or tutor and want to raise a safeguarding concern about a Think-Nth session or tutor, contact our Designated Safeguarding Lead directly. Concerns are treated confidentially and reviewed within 24 hours.
In an emergency where a child is at immediate risk, always contact your local emergency services first (UK 999, US 911, UAE 999).
